关于other、the other、others、the others和another的用法
1. other表示“其他的；另外的”，通常与复数可数名词一起使用。例如：你还有哪些问题？Do you have any other questions?

当other前面有the、some、no、each、every、one及形容词性物主代词时，other后面接单数可数名词。例如：改天再来吧。Come some other day.
我们没有其他地方可去。We have no other place to go.
2. the other指的是“两者中的另一个”，常与one连用，构成one…the other…的结构，意为“一个……，另一个……”。例如：我有两个兄弟，一个是销售员，另一个是工程师。I have two brothers. One is a salesman, and the other is an engineer.
3. others是泛指“别的人或物”，相当于other+复数可数名词，常构成some…others…的结构，意为“一些……，另一些……”。例如：操场上一些孩子在打篮球，另一些孩子在踢足球。Some children are playing basketball and others are playing soccer on the playground.
4. the others特指“其余所有的人或物”，相当于the other+复数可数名词。例如：我们班有50名学生，其中30名是女生，其余的是男生。There are fifty students in our class. Thirty are girls. The others are boys.
5. another表示“三者或三者以上中的另外一个”，通常修饰或代替单数可数名词。如果想表达在原有的基础上需要更多数量的东西，可以使用“another+数词+复数可数名词”的结构，相当于“数词+more+复数可数名词”。例如：我想再吃两个苹果。I would like to have another two apples. 或者 I would like to have two more apples.
6. 若要表示“三者或三者以上的另外一个”，可以使用one…another…another…的结构。例如：他最喜欢三门科目，一门是数学，另一门是物理，再一门是化学。He likes three subjects best. One is math, another is Physics, and another is Chemistry.。
